My friend Emily Graham just launched her new customized skincare company, Truth Art Beauty.
I think it's a great idea because it allows the customer to select what ingredients go into their products. Participation is such a strong trend and I think sooner or later, it will touch all consumer markets. Look at Threadless for t-shirts (where I buy my t-shirts), or J. Hilburn for custom men's shirts and pants (note I work with J. Hilburn). It's pretty simple, people ascribe more value to something they contributed to. It's a natural human emotion and I'm glad my friend Emily is participating in it.
